Cairns City Backpackers Hostel is the ideal Cairns hostel; small, quiet and friendly, and best of all it is ideally located in a quiet backstreet just a short walk from the heart of Cairns and a 5 minute walk to Cairns Central Shopping Centre.
We have a maximum of only 70 guests so it is easy to make lifelong friends here. We are not a Cairns party hostel, and have a quiet time/no drinking time from 10.30 pm to allow guests to get a good nights sleep. However,the free dinners at the Woolshed Pub will help save you money and let you party till late.
Cairns City Backpackers Hostel consists of two fully renovated Queenslander houses loaded with character,
and a tropical, fully landscaped garden which includes many grand old palm trees, a cute swimming pool and lots of hammocks and sun lounges for you to chill out in. The hostel also has a sofa area to flop yourself into, and a billiard table to challenge your room mates.
The friendly and helpful staff have lots of good advice and information about tours including access to standby specials. The owner Dave, used to be a dive instructor on the Great Barrier Reef so can answer all of your questions about reef trips.
