Getting to Cairns City Backpackers

Cairns City Backpackers is only a 10min walk to the city centre.

OFFICE HOURS AND OUT OF HOURS CHECK-INS

Reception hours From 9am-4pm. We can provide an after hours check-in service if advised in advance.

Check-in/Check-out times Check-in time is from 11am. Check-out time is 10am.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE

The hostel does not operate a shuttle bus. There is currently no service available during COVID-19.

TAXIS/UBER

A taxi/Uber will cost you about $25-$30 from the airport and $10-$14 from the bus terminals.

BUS TERMINALS

If you wish to walk from the bus terminals. We are a 5 minute walk from the Premier bus terminal (Cairns Central shopping centre) and a 20 minute walk from the Greyhound terminal (near the Lagoon. walk straight down Spence street, turn right into Draper street and follow until you find our hostel.)

DRIVING

If you are coming in your own car we can be found at 274 Draper Street near Cairns Central Shopping Centre.

WALKING AROUND THE CITY

Cairns Central Shopping Centre (supermarkets, banks, Railway Station, Premier bus arrivals/departures) around 5 minutes.

Cairns CBD (supermarkets, banks, shopping, Rusty's markets, public library, Sunbus local bus stops for beaches/botanic gardens etc) around 10-20 minutes.

Cairns Esplanade (Lagoon, Esplanade park, Night Markets, Marina & Reef Fleet Terminal, Greyhound bus arrivals/departures) around 20 minutes.
